About the Role Are you ready to lead avionics excellence and drive technical innovation for one of the world's most ambitious airline startups? You will serve as the subject matter expert responsible for delivering operational excellence across all avionics systems, ensuring the Riyadh Air fleet is safe, compliant, reliable, on-time, and defect-free. This role is critical in maintaining the highest standards of avionics systems while supporting our ambitious growth plans and commitment to world-class service delivery. In this role, you will develop and implement comprehensive avionics maintenance strategies aligned with our operational objectives, leading the planning and execution of maintenance programs to ensure maximum fleet availability and reliability. You will oversee all avionics maintenance activities to ensure compliance with GACA, EASA, FAA, and manufacturer requirements, while serving as the primary technical authority for complex troubleshooting and system integration issues. You can expect to lead and mentor a high-performing team of avionics technicians and engineers, monitor system performance and reliability trends, coordinate with Operations Control and Flight Operations to minimize disruptions, and manage relationships with OEMs, suppliers, and regulatory authorities. You'll drive continuous improvement initiatives, oversee modification and upgrade programs, and manage avionics spare parts strategies to optimize both availability and cost. This is a critical role where your technical leadership will directly enhance fleet reliability, operational excellence, and Riyadh Air's journey to becoming one of the world's greatest service brands. About You Degree qualified in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Avionics, or a related technical field, you will demonstrate a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in commercial aviation avionics maintenance and engineering, with at least 3 years leading technical teams in an airline or MRO environment. You are expected to possess deep knowledge of avionics systems including flight management, navigation, communication, and surveillance systems, with proven experience on modern commercial aircraft types (A320/A350/B787 family preferred). You will bring exceptional leadership capabilities, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a track record of implementing avionics maintenance programs that achieve operational KPIs.
