Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities: Inspecting the construction of works to ensure compliance with the Contract Documents and approved shop drawings and submittals. In case of non-Compliant procedure, Site Inspector will immediately report to the Engineer and issue SON/NCR. Inspecting site conditions prior to start of construction activities. Verifying the compatibility of the site with the designed permanent works, checking for obstructions and ensuring all completed works are kept safe & properly protected. Reviewing materials delivered to site for conformance with approved samples, materials and equipment and report findings. Checking that materials delivered to site are properly stored and report discrepancies. Preparing daily logs and reports, maintaining records of inspections made, tests performed, work executed, etc. Performing all work in accordance with the Client Procedures Manual. Observing site safety practices and site progress updates and reporting any work related concerns. Assisting with the inspection of completed works and helping prepare punch/snag lists and monitoring the start-up, testing, commissioning and handover of the works. Perform all other duties as assigned by reporting line manager. Requirements: Diploma or higher level of qualification in Mechanical Engineering 8 to 10 years of relevant experience Strong knowledge in Treatment Plants and Mechanical Systems Strong English communication skills
