ITS SME

Responsibilities: Act as the technical authority for all ITS-related systems and solutions on the project Review and approve ITS designs, specifications, and integration plans Ensure compliance with Saudi standards, authority requirements, and international ITS best practices Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and stakeholders on ITS matters Review and respond to RFIs, technical submittals, and design changes related to ITS Support integration of ITS with traffic management centers (TMCs), control systems, and communication networks Participate in design reviews, value engineering, and constructability assessments Oversee implementation of systems such as ATMS, CCTV, VMS, AVLS, tolling interfaces, and fiber optic networks Review testing, commissioning, and system acceptance plans Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with approved ITS requirements Support coordination with authorities for approvals, interfaces, and handover Assist in resolving technical issues, non-conformances, and disputes related to ITS works Support project close-out, documentation, and final handover to the client Mentor and guide junior ITS engineers within the PMC team Essential Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or Transportation Engineering Minimum 15 years of experience in ITS design, implementation, and management for major road and infrastructure projects Proven experience working under a PMC or consultancy role Strong knowledge of ITS standards, protocols, and systems integration Experience with Saudi or GCC infrastructure projects preferred Excellent coordination, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
