Job Description
Construction Manager will be responsible for overall management, supervision, and coordination of construction activities for a PMC infrastructure project involving roads, bridges, and tunnels. The role ensures construction works are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, schedule, quality standards, and client requirements. Responsibilities Develop and oversee the implementation of construction plans, schedules, and methodologies. Coordinate construction activities across roads, bridges, and tunnel works to ensure project milestones are met. Monitor progress and ensure adherence to project timelines and resources. Ensure compliance with quality control and assurance requirements. Monitor implementation of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards on site. Conduct safety audits and risk assessments and implement corrective measures. Oversee day-to-day construction operations and provide guidance to site engineers and supervisors. Ensure proper coordination among all disciplines including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, ITS, and landscape. Resolve site issues, technical challenges, and conflicts promptly. Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and client representatives. Ensure contractors comply with contractual obligations and project specifications. Participate in technical meetings, site inspections, and progress review meetings. Monitor construction costs and resource allocation to ensure efficiency and minimize wastage. Approve site resource requirements and verify proper utilization. Support claims, variations, and cost tracking as required. Maintain accurate records of site activities, inspections, progress reports, and compliance documentation. Prepare periodic reports on construction progress, risks, and mitigation measures. Support audits, authority inspections, and client reporting requirements. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline. Master’s Degree is preferred. Minimum 15 years of experience in construction management for major infrastructure projects. Proven experience on roads, bridges, and tunnel projects. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality control procedures. Familiarity with international standards, codes, and local authority regulations. Excellent leadership, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
