Job Description
Responsibilities: Lead, plan, and execute the design and implementation of mechanical systems for high-rise and hotel projects. Supervise and coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure mechanical works are executed as per design, codes, and standards. Review, approve, and provide technical guidance on shop drawings, material submittals, and design documents. Ensure compliance with international standards, Saudi building codes, and project specifications. Conduct detailed site inspections to monitor quality, safety, and progress of mechanical works. Manage testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems, ensuring full functionality and integration with other services. Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments, and technical reports for project activities. Collaborate with project managers, architects, structural, and electrical teams for effective interdisciplinary coordination. Identify potential risks, propose technical solutions, and resolve site issues promptly. Support procurement activities by evaluating technical offers and ensuring material compliance. Mentor, train, and supervise junior engineers and site teams to build technical expertise. Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to project timelines, cost, and quality benchmarks. Ensure sustainability and energy efficiency measures are incorporated into mechanical designs. Represent the mechanical discipline in meetings with clients, consultants, and authorities. Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and records. Essential Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree is an advantage). Minimum 10 years of proven experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in high-rise or hotel projects. Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems. Familiarity with CAD, Revit, and other engineering software. Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills. Strong understanding of safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
