Job Description
Responsibilities: Assist the Project Manager in developing and maintaining project execution plans, work breakdown structures, and deliverable schedules. Monitor and track project performance against established milestones, KPIs, and baselines. Coordinate with design, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure project alignment with scope and timeline. Support in managing construction supervision activities and ensure adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and standards. Assist in developing mitigation plans for delays and risks identified during project execution. Facilitate coordination between client representatives, contractors, consultants, and internal departments. Conduct and document regular progress, coordination, and technical meetings. Maintain clear communication channels between the site team and head office management. Ensure all project correspondence, transmittals, and documents are properly reviewed, approved, and logged in the project control system. Assist in the evaluation and approval of variations, claims, and change orders in coordination with contracts and cost control teams. Monitor project budgets and highlight cost deviations or potential overruns. Participate in tender review, technical evaluations, and contractor performance assessments. Support in preparing progress payment certifications and verifying quantities as per executed works. Ensure that construction activities comply with quality standards, codes, and client specifications. Support QHSE teams in implementing safety procedures and monitoring site compliance. Review quality documentation such as ITPs, checklists, and method statements. Encourage a culture of safety awareness and proactive risk management within the project team. Serve as a secondary point of contact for the client on project matters in coordination with the Project Manager. Support client presentations, progress updates, and review meetings. Maintain strong professional relationships with client representatives, consultants, and authorities to facilitate project approvals and inspections. Supervise and guide site engineers, coordinators, and administrative staff to achieve project goals. Review and consolidate daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for submission to the Project Manager and client. Identify areas of improvement and recommend process enhancements to ensure efficient project delivery. Support the Project Manager in preparing close-out reports, lessons learned, and project handover documentation. Essential Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture (Master’s preferred). 10–15 years of relevant experience in building or mixed-use projects, preferably under PMC scope. Proven track record in project planning, construction management, and coordination roles. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and client-handling skills. Excellent verbal and written communication in English (Arabic is a plus). Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6, MS Office Suite, and relevant engineering tools. Strong understanding of contracts (FIDIC) and project control principles. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
