MEP Engineer

Responsibilities: Design and oversee the construction of MEP systems for new buildings or renovations, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical. Develop project proposals, feasibility studies, and cost estimates. Prepare contract documents and specifications. Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Coordinate with other engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure smooth communication and efficient workflows. Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create 2D and 3D models. Perform energy audits and develop energy conservation plans. Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems. Analyze data from tests and site observations to troubleshoot issues and inform future designs. Keep abreast of new technology and developments in the field. Attend conferences and continuing education courses to maintain professional licensure. Write reports detailing project findings and recommendations. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing engineering 15+ years’ experience as an engineer in the MEP field Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit Strong understanding of building codes and standards Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
