Senior Engineer, Mining II

This role offers a chance to contribute to our ambitious growth and play a key part in shaping the future of mining in the Kingdom. Key Accountabilities 1. Prepare detailed daily, weekly, and monthly mine plans aligned with production budgets, operational constraints, and SOW‑defined contractor obligations. 2. Ensure mining compliance with pit designs, geotechnical parameters, berm widths, batter angles, and road standards per SOW requirements. 3. Develop drill and blast patterns, loading specifications, firing sequences, and production blasting schedules. 4. Analyse and report contractor equipment performance, cycle times, productivity, and compliance with mine plans. 5. Maintain rolling 12‑week mining schedules, updating for survey actuals, hydrology inputs, and operational changes. 6. Optimise haul routes, dump sequencing, waste placement, and mining interactions between pits. 7. Collaborate closely with Survey and Geology for ore control, boundary reconciliation, and dig block accuracy. 8. Lead variance analysis between planned vs actual production; support budget reviews and operational cost alignment. 9. Support continuous improvement initiatives for safety, productivity, and cost optimisation. 10. Ensure compliance with Ma’aden safety, environmental regulations, and SOW contract requirements. Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent; professional registration preferred. Minimum Experience: 8+ years’ experience in open‑pit mine engineering, including drill & blast, short‑term planning, and contractor operations.
