Job Purpose: Perform routine and specialized assisted reproductive technology procedures and techniques under the direction of the physician. Key Responsibilities and Duties: Performs basic ART laboratory techniques. Performs oocyte retrieval/pick-ups. Removal of cumulus cells from oocytes (Oocyte denudation). Fertilizes oocytes through recognized methods available (Conventional IVF, ICSI) as the case may require, through the acceptable forms. Performs embryo culture techniques. Performs Infra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI). Evaluates embryo development and records results in a good comprehensive order. Performs embryo transfers (ET) and Pro nuclear Stage Tubal Transfer (PROST). Embryo cryopreservation. Embryo thawing. Prepares tubes, dishes and transfer media for the daily cases. Requisition and maintenance of reagents and other IVF laboratory supplies. Educates patients and their families about health conditions, treatments and preventative measures if applicable. Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of the job. Adhering to and upholding Fakeeh Care’s code of conduct, policies and ethical standards. Completion of mandatory education as per the requirement, at least one month prior to expiration. Skills and Abilities: Computer skills. Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ of experience in the field of IVF Laboratory. Have documented training, which includes performing at least 60 ART procedures under supervision subject to interview and evaluation. Obtain at least 20 — 30 hours of accredited continuing education annually in ART or clinical laboratory practice. Performed at least 20 ART procedures per year Education: A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or equivalent. Language: Fluency in written & spoken English & Arabic. Licenses / Certifications: License for practice as per the regional health regulatory authority e.g. (SCFHS / DHA)
