Job Overview This role is conducted within the vision, mission, and strategic plan of the Insurance Authority. The Senior Expert of General Sector Development serves as the Authority’s principal architect of evidence-driven frameworks that catalyse sectoral transformation. Reporting to the Director of General Sector Development, the role will lead advanced analytical initiatives that uncover growth levers, inform strategic investments, and shape national policy direction. By orchestrating rigorous methodologies, cross-functional advisory support, and high-impact stakeholder collaborations, the incumbent converts insight into executable programmes that enhance competitiveness and diversification. The position also institutionalises knowledge, mentors talent, and embeds continuous improvement practices, ensuring sustained capability and alignment with the Authority’s broader economic vision. Responsibilities and Tasks Lead deep-dive quantitative and qualitative analyses of market structure, value chains, and policy trends to identify growth levers and systemic bottlenecks within the General Sector. Develop and maintain sector dashboards, econometric models, and benchmarking studies to inform strategic options for the Director of General Sector Development. Synthesize complex data into executive-level insight papers, recommending actionable initiatives that align with Vision and national economic agendas. Design and continuously enhance sector-development frameworks, assessment tools, and maturity models that are adopted Authority-wide as best practice. Establish robust methodological guidelines for programme prioritisation, cost–benefit evaluation, and impact measurement to ensure evidence-based decision-making. Validate frameworks through pilot studies, peer review sessions, and alignment with international standards, ensuring scalability across sub-sectors. Translate approved strategies into detailed implementation roadmaps, clarifying milestones, resource needs, and risk mitigations for cross-functional execution teams. Advise internal project owners and peer Experts on technical matters, ensuring alignment with agreed methodologies and facilitating rapid issue resolution. Represent the General Sector Development Department in technical workshops, inter-agency taskforces, and external forums to advocate for sector priorities and secure stakeholder buy-in. Cultivate collaborative relationships with regulators, industry champions, and academia to co-create initiatives, exchange knowledge, and leverage external funding opportunities. Curate and disseminate sector intelligence, lessons learned, and case studies through the Authority’s knowledge-management platforms to uplift organisational capability. Mentor Specialists and new hires, fostering a culture of analytical rigor and innovation, and championing continuous improvement of tools, processes, and data quality.
