Job posting Performs imaging and documents equipment quality control procedures. Key responsibilities Reviews exam orders/requisitions, reviews corresponding protocol, and asks questions of superior(s) and prepares for exams as needed. Selects proper equipment depending upon depth of field, organ, and area of interest. Performs scanning procedures with attention to patient care, quality imaging, and efficient management of time. Communicates with the Ultrasound Services (US) Radiologist to ensure that all images are satisfactory. Explains procedure to patient. Instructs patient regarding contrast medical and medicine, and required positions and assists patient in assuming position. Archives images and submits all images and pertinent data for subsequent use. Informs supervisor or section head of equipment malfunction and/or need for repairs. Calibrates equipment and performs routine maintenance and documents this accordingly. Cleans and sanitizes the used equipment after finish with every patient. Complies with the section policies, procedures and protocols. Follow the section quality improvement program in accordance with CBAHI, JCI, SFDA and other accreditation agencies standards. Complies with the Radiation Safety Rules and Regulations of the Hospital in accordance with KACST and K.A. CARE and other National or International Regulatory bodies. Apply ALARA principle Role within the section practice for all procedures. Other responsibilities Current Registration from country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties(SCHS) is required. Registration with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or equivalent for non-Saudis is required. Experience Four (4) years as Ultrasound Technologist, or (Grade 08) related experience is required. Average of annual performance appraisal at least (3.5) for the last four (4) years. Fifty (50) hours of cumulative continued medical education [CME].
