Job Description
As a Salesforce Sr IT Architect – Customer and Commercial Experience (CCEX) individual contributor at Honeywell, you will leverage your deep expertise in Salesforce solutioning to design and deliver innovative customer and commercial experience projects. Your focus will be on architecting scalable, cutting-edge SFDC solutions that enhance our customer engagement and commercial operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive transformation through solution design and strategic technology enablement within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
You will report directly to our Director of IT and work out of our Charlotte, NC location on a Hybrid work schedule. Note: for the first 90 days, new hires must be prepared to work onsite 100% M-F.
This role is part of the CCEX portfolio, focusing on Customer & Commercial Experience Solutions, including Salesforce.com, Digital Customer Experience, and Commerce platforms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and architect global SFDC solutions aligned with Honeywell’s customer and commercial experience objectives
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable Salesforce solutions
Drive solution innovation by researching and recommending contemporary technologies and best practices for SFDC projects
Lead Proof of Concept (POC) initiatives to validate new Salesforce features and integrations
Ensure solutions comply with security, data privacy, and accessibility standards
Platform Strategy and Feature Roadmap Management
Partner with Customer & Commercial Excellence (C&CE) teams to integrate SFDC solutions into the broader enterprise IT strategy
Influence the Salesforce product roadmap by identifying opportunities to enhance customer and commercial processes
Maintain awareness of Salesforce platform updates and emerging trends to continuously improve solution capabilities
Solution & Service Optimization
Develop Lightning components and design Lightning-based user experiences to meet business needs
Utilize Apex and Visualforce development skills to build custom functionality where required
Configure Salesforce administration elements including users, roles, profiles, security controls, workflows, and reports
Design custom objects, fields, validation rules, approval processes, and dashboards to optimize user productivity and data quality
Support technically focused, solution-oriented sales proposals by providing architectural expertise and technical insights
Conduct architecture assessments and develop tactical plans to address infrastructure and software needs related to SFDC solutions
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure Salesforce solutions effectively support commercial objectives
YOU MUST HAVE
Minimum of 5 years of IT experience with a strong focus on Salesforce solution architecture and delivery
Salesforce Certified Architect credential
Proven ability to consult and collaborate with Product Owners and Service Owners to define solution requirements
Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
Knowledge of cloud computing, security, and data management principles
Exposure to common systems that integrate with Salesforce such as Marketo, CPQ, etc.
Strong working knowledge of data migration processes and best practices

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across global teams
Strong collaboration skills to work seamlessly with internal technical teams and external business units including sales, marketing, and customer service
Demonstrated ability to work independently as an individual contributor while influencing cross-functional stakeholders
