Job Description
As a Hardware Engineer II at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in delivering data-driven insights across global markets, cost structures, and manufacturing ecosystems. This role blends advanced data analytics, statistical modeling, and economic intelligence to support strategic sourcing, manufacturing, and enterprise decision-making.
You will partner closely with business leaders, sourcing teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex strategic and operational challenges into impactful analytical solutions. In addition to leading high-impact analytics initiatives, you will contribute to the methodological maturity and strategic direction of the Data Analytics organization
Key Responsibilities
Advanced Analytics & Modeling
Design, develop, and deploy advanced analytical, statistical, and machine learning models to solve complex business problems
Lead end-to-end analytics initiatives, from problem framing and data exploration through insight delivery and executive communication
Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address ambiguous, multi-variable data challenges
Market, Economic & Cost Analysis
Analyze global economic indicators, raw material markets, and supply chain trends impacting sourcing and manufacturing decisions
Monitor pricing models, cost drivers, and commodity dynamics across key materials and processes
Perform cost analysis and should-cost modeling for mechanical parts and systems
Develop cost forecasts and support strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations
Maintain and enhance databases for raw materials, alloys, machinery, manufacturing processes, and labor costs
Manufacturing & Domain Expertise
Apply hands-on knowledge of stamping, fabrication, machining, and injection molding processes
Leverage understanding of shop-floor operations and labor skill structures to improve cost accuracy and analytical relevance
Connect end-to-end insights from raw material sourcing to final product delivery
Data Enablement & Continuous Improvement
Apply analytical and statistical techniques to drive process improvements in data compilation, reporting, and insight generation
Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytics methodologies, tools, and best practices
Support enterprise-wide data initiatives aligned with business and strategic objectives
Leadership & Collaboration
Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to align analytics outputs with business priorities
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior analysts and data scientists
Influence the strategic vision of the Data Analytics team by identifying and driving high-impact opportunities
Utilize SAP/ERP and PLM systems to ensure data integrity and decision support
Qualifications
Must-Have Requirements
5+ years of experience in data analytics, market research, cost analysis, or global economics
Proven experience leading complex, high-impact analytics projects
Strong expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and advanced analytical techniques
Deep understanding of raw materials, alloys, pricing strategies, manufacturing processes, and supply chains
Strong project management, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop junior analysts
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
Experience owning and driving large-scale or enterprise-level analytics initiatives
Proficiency in Python and/or R; SQL and Power BI experience is a strong advantage
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word
Strategic mindset with the ability to influence the long-term direction of analytics capabilities
