Your role will include overseeing, supervising and reviewing tasks performed by team members to ensure effective execution of work; managing end-to-end processes and projects for both internal and external clients with responsibility for timely and accurate delivery; issuing clear instructions and directions to team members on tasks to be performed; and mentoring and guiding junior colleagues to Support their skill development, professional growth, and overall success.
Responsibilities:
You will take on role as Embedded Engineer , using your advanced knowledge of the Embedded engineering discipline, processes and tools to help Honeywell Building Automation business deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will work under limited supervision and alongside some of the world's most talented engineers. You will contribute to the development of Honeywell's next generation of fire system commercial products by designing, testing and/or validating products/processes from prototype to market. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise to ensure the success of complex engineering projects and programs while acting as a mentor to more junior engineers. You will interact with internal and external customers to facilitate the completion of products to customer specifications.
Responsibilities will include:
Design and develop fire system’s commercial products within a cross-functional cross-site team
Develop firmware for embedded products and help define product architecture as needed.
Take active part in new product development, including requirement analysis, feasibility study, architecture design, firmware implementation, integration, testing and debugging, creating technical reports and documents as required.
Aid in the design and development of applications and systems and redesign of existing systems to fulfill the needs of Honeywell's customers.
Take ownership in fire systems project operate and maintain. Maintain firmware applications and develop tools for internal use.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
Must Have:
Strong technical knowledge in Embedded C and Embedded CPP. Other languages are a plus.
Good working knowledge in Embedded Linux Operating System and/or Real-Time Operating systems
Good understanding in POSIX standard, IPC , Multi-threading etc.
Good debugging skills with hands-on with hardware. Excellent analytical and problems solving skills
Good knowledge of working with peripherals and communication protocols
Experience in developing complex systems. Strong knowledge of setting up and managing development toolchains. Good to have with CI/CD pipeline deployment.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of an agile/scrum team in a fast-paced environment.
Team player with passion and zeal to do whatever it takes for business success with a keen sense of urgency and strong drive
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Nice to have:
Knowledge on Fire System/Domain is an added advantage
UI development in embedded products is a plus
Product Cyber Security skills
Understand agile software development spirit; Experience in agile software development is a plus
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor/master’s degree with 4-7 years in computer Science, Electronics and Communication.
At least 4-7 years solid experience in embedded firmware design and development

This position will be based in Bangalore HTS R&D center
