Sr. Customs Supervisor

The Sr Customs Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all import and export compliance activities, ensuring strict adherence to IDPMS (Import Data Processing and Monitoring System), EDPMS (Export Data Processing and Monitoring System), and FEMA (Foreign Exchange Management Act) regulations. The ideal candidate will have over 5 to 7 years of relevant experience and hold a postgraduate degree, preferably with a financial background. Key Responsibilities Supervise and manage compliance processes related to imports and exports in accordance with IDPMS, EDPMS, and FEMA guidelines. Monitor and ensure timely and accurate reporting of all foreign remittance and inward transactions. Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth import and export operations while mitigating compliance risks. Work regularly with banks and financial institutions to ensure all applicable federal banking compliance requirements are met. Stay updated on regulatory changes and communicate relevant updates to the team and management. Prepare and maintain documentation for audits and regulatory inspections. Train and mentor junior staff on compliance procedures and best practices. Collaborate with finance and operations teams to reconcile trade transactions and resolve discrepancies. Qualifications and Experience Post-graduate degree, preferably in Finance, Commerce, or a related field. Minimum 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in trade compliance, import/export operations, and foreign remittance management. In-depth knowledge of IDPMS, EDPMS, and FEMA regulations. Strong understanding of international trade documentation and regulatory requirements. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills Proficiency in MS Office and trade compliance management systems. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Experience in handling audits and regulatory reporting.
