Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement trade compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to import and export regulations
Manage and oversee import and export documentation, including classification, licensing, and customs documentation
Conduct internal audits and assessments to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions
Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on trade compliance matters, including training and awareness programs
Stay updated with changes in trade regulations and communicate the impact to the organization, ensuring compliance with new requirements
Collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve trade compliance issues and mitigate risks
Review of Sales orders/ New Projects to Customers and Inter Company from sanctions and export compliance perspectives. Assist with executing and implementing Honeywell's Sanctions Compliance program, including working collaboratively with the Sanctions Compliance team on risk management strategies.
Review Export orders for BIS Military End use rule for any restriction or license applicability and work with the Corporate Export Control team for review and approval.
Perform screening and conduct due diligence of customers and transactions to identify and control for sanctions and export compliance risks.
Work with Cross Functional teams and support Sanction Compliance Support with reviewing Potential Customers/Suppliers for Projects, Shipments, and Intercompany transaction to meet requirements of sanctions and export compliance.
Escalate alerts that may raise sanctions risks and potential authorization and reporting requirements.
Should be able to work any of the shift timings as required by the process, current shift timings are 8 AM to 5 PM and 1 PM to 10 PM
YOU MUST HAVE
5+ years of experience in trade compliance, preferably in a multinational company
Strong knowledge of import and export regulations, including customs laws, export controls, and sanctions
Understanding of export regulations, including the ITAR, EAR and OFAC
Experience in managing trade compliance programs, including classification, licensing, and compliance audits
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and provide practical solutions
Ability to navigate complex situations
SAP and/or SharePoint experience
