Job Description
As an Electrical Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will design, develop, and implement electrical systems, provide technical expertise, and support cross-functional teams to ensure project success. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Mexico City location on a Hybrid work schedule.
Use your knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals to help Honeywell deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will work under immediate supervision and alongside some of the world's most talented engineers. You will contribute to the development of Honeywell's next generation of products by designing, testing and/or validating products from prototype to market. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise and ensure the success of engineering projects and programs.
Honeywell recently announced plans to sell its Intelligrated (IGS) business to American Industrial Partners (“AIP”). At this time, we anticipate that the deal will close in the second half of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions. We expect this role, dedicated to the IGS business, will be part of this future transaction when it closes.
Create and check electrical model drawings, electrical device layout drawings, e-stop drawings, network drawings, including schematic drawings by panel
Developing buyout configuration and motor calculation worksheets
Create permit drawings
Ordering control panels, electrical field devices and electrical buyouts
Setting up and testing electrical prototypes
Developing electrical spare parts list and site readiness checklist
Setting up electrical networks and Profibus, performing I/O checkout and commissioning, labeling electrical devices, creating electrical punch list for installation and troubleshooting electrical product issues on site
Provide as-built technical documentation
Prepare or update reports and documentation
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor's degree in engineering: Mechatronics, Robotics, Control Automation, Electrical, Electronics, or similar.
English language: Advanced both written and spoken.
4-5+ years of experience
Knowledge of Microsoft office tools (Excel, Word & Power Point), AutoCAD, AutoCAD electrical and vault
Accustomed to using electrical hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, etc
Able and familiar with leading design teams and commissioning crews (medium and large)
Able to follow up and update project priorities and communicate with PM
Coordinate and update forecasts and resource planning
Supervise crews to check VFD parametrization for Allen Bradley and Eaton drives
Apply and follow up safety requirements (LOTO, electrical hazard, work in heights, etc)
