Job Description
As a Lead Field Service Technician here at Honeywell, you will take a pivotal role in leading field service activities, ensuring the successful installation, maintenance, and repair of fire systems. You will be the technical expert on-site, and ensuring that all service tasks meet Honeywell’s high standards for quality and safety.
You will report directly to our Field Service Supervisor and you’ll work out of our Milwaukee, WI location on an Remote work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the operational efficiency and customer satisfaction by delivering expert technical service and support for Honeywell Fire System products and solutions. Your leadership will help maintain system reliability and optimize fire systems performance for our clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and perform installation, maintenance, and repair of building fire systems and related equipment.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior field service technicians to enhance team performance.
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues on-site to ensure minimal downtime for customers.
Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to ensure smooth execution of service projects.
Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
YOU MUST HAVE
Extensive experience in field service roles, particularly with building fire systems or related systems, demonstrating strong technical troubleshooting and repair skills.
In-depth knowledge of building fire systems equipment, controls, and sensors.
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software applications relevant to field service operations.
Ability to lead and mentor a team of technicians, managing priorities and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Familiarity with safety standards and compliance requirements in field service environments.
WE VALUE
Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or related technical field.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in field service within building fire systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with Honeywell Building Fire Systems and software is highly desirable.
Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple service calls and projects efficiently.
Nicet I or Nicet II Certification preferred
