Job Title: Transportation Operations Manager

Execute and oversee daily transportation operations, ensuring efficient fleet management, timely shipment planning, accurate documentation, and compliance with regulations. This role is crucial for maintaining smooth logistics operations and optimizing costs.

• Oversee the in-house fleet and collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to ensure prompt dispatch and delivery.
• Monitor fleet utilization, optimize routes, and manage truck capacity to maximize efficiency.
• Maintain comprehensive records, including GPS tracking logs and driver attendance records.

• Plan and schedule shipments based on business priorities and service level agreements.
• Assign shipments to carriers considering availability, cost, and performance.

• Manage the entire POD process to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
• Validate delivery records and address any discrepancies or missing PODs.

• Verify transporter invoices against agreed pricing and delivery records.
• Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team for accurate and timely payments.
• Investigate and resolve land transportation claims and delivery issues.

• Ensure all logistics activities adhere to internal policies and legal regulations.
• Generate periodic reports on fleet performance, transporter KPIs, and cost metrics.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for enhanced logistics efficiency and service quality.

• Stay updated with relevant soft and technical skills in transportation and logistics.
• Execute planned activities to meet operational and development targets, utilizing resources efficiently within cost and time constraints.
• Provide regular reports detailing task deviations and execution.
• Solve operational problems and escalate complex issues.
• Ensure quality control and processes meet specifications.
• Identify and implement business process improvements, seeking automation opportunities.
• Comply with relevant policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental management procedures to ensure compliance and high-quality product/service delivery.

• Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, or a related field.

• 2 to 4 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or a related field.
