Section Head – Mechanical

Location: Rabigh, Saudi Arabia

The Section Head – Mechanical is a critical role within the organization, responsible for the efficient and safe management of mechanical equipment maintenance, ensuring the plant's operations are reliable and productive. This position oversees and executes maintenance strategies, including preventive, corrective, and overhaul activities, while adhering to the highest safety and quality standards.

• Maintenance Planning and Supervision: Lead and oversee all maintenance activities, including preventive, corrective, shutdown, and overhaul tasks, ensuring they are executed according to schedules and standards.
• Spare Parts Management: Prepare and manage purchase requisitions for spare parts and consumables, ensuring optimal inventory levels and cost-effectiveness.
• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Lead troubleshooting efforts, providing technical expertise to resolve mechanical and operational challenges faced by the maintenance team.
• Work Order Management: Utilize the CMMS (SAP) to create and monitor work orders, ensuring efficient tracking and completion of maintenance tasks.
• Technical Leadership: Guide and mentor maintenance engineers, providing technical guidance and ensuring the application of best practices in mechanical maintenance.
• Maintenance Execution: Apply mechanical maintenance techniques and principles to maintain and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and associated systems, ensuring optimal performance.
• Inspections and Compliance: Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, repair, lubrication, and cleaning activities, ensuring compliance with Integrated Management System (IMS) and HSE policies.
• IMS and HSE Management: Oversee the implementation and adherence to IMS, HSE policies, and legal requirements, monitoring performance and identifying areas for improvement.
• Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track IMS objectives, targets, and performance metrics, providing regular reports to management and identifying areas for enhancement.
• Root Cause Analysis: Lead root cause analysis for non-conformances, implementing corrective and preventive actions to minimize recurrence.
• Team Development: Identify competency gaps within the maintenance team, providing training, coaching, and performance evaluations to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
• Resource Management: Optimize the utilization of manpower, materials, and maintenance resources to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
• Hazard and Incident Management: Monitor and address hazards, environmental aspects, incidents, near misses, and emergency situations, implementing preventive measures.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in maintenance, preferably in industrial or power plant environments.
• Proven experience in preventive and corrective maintenance, plant shutdowns, and outage management.
• Strong familiarity with SAP/CMMS systems for maintenance management.

• Leadership and Management: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, maintenance techniques, and industry best practices.
• Quality and Safety: Understanding of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environmental Management Systems.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and incident investigation.
• Regulatory Compliance: Awareness of legal and regulatory requirements related to maintenance and HSE.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using MS Office and SAP for maintenance documentation and reporting.
• Adaptability: Ability to work in a demanding plant environment, adapting to changing conditions and priorities.
