Job Title: Database Engineer

This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient management and optimization of database systems across the entire organization. The successful candidate will play a vital part in maintaining data integrity, enhancing data analytics capabilities, and contributing to the overall success of Flyadeal.

• Manage SQL database objects, ensuring their proper design, implementation, and maintenance.
• Perform hands-on database tasks, including coding, peer code reviews, and building automation tests.
• Collaborate with the development team to align database development with internal processes.

• Administer database permissions for organization-wide access, ensuring data security and compliance.

• Deploy database scripts and objects across multiple stages, ensuring smooth transitions.
• Run predictive analytics at scale to derive valuable insights.

• Guide and mentor the Data Engineering team to deliver high-quality code, enabling successful production deployments.
• Foster strong working relationships with various business functions and decision-makers.

• Identify and propose initiatives to improve financial and operational performance, mitigating potential risks.

• Contribute to shaping the future of Flyadeal's products by participating in complex problem-solving and solution development.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Database administration certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure).

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Database Engineering, with a focus on data analytics and reporting.
• Non-Relational Database experience (Document DB, Graph DB) is advantageous.

• Proficiency in RDBMS, Web, Client/Server, and OLAP systems.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and associated technologies.
• Expertise in programming languages, data management, and cloud platforms.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

• Prior experience in the airline industry is beneficial but not mandatory.
